Finale

Well, it's been a while, hasn't it?  This is, possibly and prayerfully, the last posting.  Earlier today I made what should be the last payment on Cece's surgery.  So, her "Spa Treatment" is officially over, especially after her good report from the one year follow-up.  I believe the operative word is "Amen".

Ity's been a little while, hasn't it?  Well, it's a new year, it's cold  outside, and we have some updating to do.  Beautiful Bride is coming along wonderfully.  Not 100% yet, but doing well.  She went back to school yesterday, to hugs, appreciation, and a birthday party.  Strawberry cake came home with her.  As previously stated, everybody loves my wife.  So, to conclude and repeat, she;s doing great and we're grateful.  Later, folks.

Surprise, Surprise

Everybody loves my wife.  This afternoon the front doorbell rang, and we opened up to see two kids with a bag.  The bag had two cards from her class and a Lindor chocolate assortment.  It felt kind of like Halloween in reverse - the doorbell rings and kids give you candy.  We could get to like this part of it all.

Doctor Visit(s)

Beautiful Bride had not one, but two doctor's appointments this morning.  I'll let her report on them.

I have just returned from the doctor for my post op appointment.  All is well and I am recovering nicely.  I am to take it easy, continue resting and taking care of myself.  I am now out and about occasionally - usually to Sedgefield for a basketball game or to walk in the mall.  Nothing fancy.  My energy levels are returning and I am feeling more like myself.  I am looking forward to returning to school in January.

Small Progress

OK, actually she's coming along phenomenally.  But yesterday, we went to the mall.  We walked around, we did some Christmas shopping, we held hands.  The mall wasn't nearly so heinous when we were holding hands.  The key is, though, that she got out and walked around - then we came home and I fell asleep.  So, Holly Jolly, everybody.  More updates later.

No News Is Good News

I've heard that you shouldn't ignore your blog for too long.  It gets lonely?  I don't know.  The update right now is;  no news, and all things considered, no news is definitely good news.  We might have some information next week, but right now we're just maintaining.  (Keep up the prayers.  They seem to be working great!)  Later.

St. Peter? Really?

I just found out that Cece was mentioned in prayers and intentions at Mass at St. Peter's yesterday.  (That's the one in Charlotte, not the one in Rome.)  Although I haven't talked to anyone yet who went to Mass in Rome , so you never know ...
